Who we are:

We are members of the Winter Springs Professional Firefighters Local 3296. Our Local Union is affiliated with The International Association Of Firefighters and The Florida Professional Firefighters.

As a union, we are a collective bargaining unit working within the City of Winter Springs, Florida. Our total membership is 35 union brothers and 2 sisters. We are a 100% paid fire department and have 100% union participation

Some of what we do:

Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic Job Responsibilities:

Routine and daily station activities including citizen blood pressure screening, vehicle inventory, detail and general housekeeping

We work a rotating 24on/48off schedule maintaining a 56-hour workweek.

Where are we:

Winter Springs, Florida is located in Seminole County and approximately 10 miles north of Orlando. Winter Springs is regarded as a "bedroom community" yielding the third largest residential population of all cities in Seminole County. Commercial development eagerly awaits us in the not to distant future.

We provide the highest level of fire protection, Emergency Medical Services and public service to the citizens of Winter Springs and Seminole County. Our department consists of two fire stations covering approximately 17.4 squares miles within the city. We also provide mutual aid to neighboring cities and unincorporated Seminole County.
